Michael Cashel
Michael is a senior executive with extensive experience in electronic trading, trading software as a service, and alternative trading systems (ATS).
Mike headed Equities at ION Markets and was the General Manager at Fidessa, the world's leading institutional equity order management system.
Mike was the Founder and first CEO of Luminex Trading & Analytics and was the CEO at Harborside Plus, both US Equity Block trading ATSs.
From 2012-2017, Mike was an SVP and Head of Fidelity Trading Ventures, an innovation team at Fidelity Investments that brought Luminex Trading & Analytics to the market.
Before FTV, Michael was an SVP and Head of Equities at Fidelity Capital Markets, 2008- 2012, the brokerage arm of Fidelity Investments.
Before Fidelity, Mike was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns, responsible for the sales, execution consulting, and client onboarding teams for Bear Stearns's electronic trading suite of products.
Mike has also held senior leadership roles in equity sales and sales trading at ABN Amro, where he led global equity sales, and at Morgan Stanley, where he led Global Emerging Markets research sales and sales trading in NY and London.
Mike has been fortunate to have served on the boards of several Fintech firms, including Harborside Plus, Luminex Trading & Analytics, Level ATS, and ESP Technologies. He has also served on the East Stone Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ Symbol ESSC) board and is currently on the board of NWTN Motors (NASDAQ symbol NWTN).
Mike has recently been retained as an expert witness in a securities trading case.
